美乐加油 (Love Keeps Going) Drama of the Week
I highly recommend this drama! I love the cast, characters, and the plot of this drama. It all starts with
Zha Mei Le (Cyndi Wang) she's
well behaved, obedient, caring and kind. An accidental incident of eavesdropping led
her to discover that neither parents, while going through their divorce,
wanted custody of her based purely on the fact that she was dumb. As a
result she has since worked hard to develop skills, gaining love and
approval in the process. Even her boyfriend, Han Yi Feng (Eli Shih) falls in love with her as a
result of her mass abilities. Mei Le even helps achieve Yi Feng's
dream of opening a bakery. However she meets Han Yi Lei (Mike He), and they don't really get along at first, but things begin to change between both of them. Although all seems well between Mei Le and Yi Feng, Yi Feng shows his true colours and is not at all Mei
Le thought him to be. When she finds out that their relationship isn't
as pure as she thought she is set with the difficult task of
rediscovering herself (with some help from Yi Lei!) she learns to
trust and fall in love again. I really enjoyed watching this drama.

What I See In All Dramas
A couple of semesters ago my English teacher made everyone in class watch TV shows, and TV ads for homework (amazing right?!) well as fun as it was, the whole point of the assignment was to see what the show or ad reflected in our culture. Well in some of the commercials that I watched, it reflected beauty (I was watching the CoverGirl ad). The ad as we all know, shows a celebrity having beautiful, healthy skin and saying "Easy, Brezzy, Beautiful, CoverGirl." To me the ad is saying, this is what beauty is, this is what you should look like, this is true beauty. That may be the case for other female audiences, however that's not what true beauty is, true beauty is accepting ourselves as we are and to have a good heart. That's true beauty in my opinion. So ever since that assignment my professor assigned, I always think to myself, "what does this drama reflect?" There are several things that reflect what the Korean society wants/desires, and not only the Korean society, but ours as well.
Here's what I've gathered from watching Korean dramas I may not have all of the themes down, but this is what I've gathered. ALL Asian dramas should reflect some if not all these things:
1. Love/True love
2. Money, Rags to Riches," fortune
3. Fame
4. Revenge
5. First Love
6. Music
7. Education
8. Royalty
Why do these dramas continually re-address these themes or ideas? Because they reflect what the society wants and desire. I still love Asian Dramas because it's more entertaining in my opinion. They may be predictable, but every show I watch is a new fresh idea. That's why I enjoy watching dramas. But most likely these dramas come out because the producers are reflecting what the society likes, and what we like is usually these things. I mean who wouldn't want fame and fortune? I notice most drama's have these re-occurring themes. Of course not just Asian Dramas, but our media does it as well. Next time you watch TV, pay attention to the message behind the show or ad. You'll be surprised how often our media does this, and how often as a society we pay attention to them.

This Is How You Know You're Addicted to KDrama's
- You watch drama's till dawn breaks.
- You only get 3-5 hours of sleep (that would be me) or maybe no sleep at all because you're going to stay up all night till you watch ALL of the episodes.
- You want to learn Korean.
- You want to go to Korea.
- You LOVE the main male actors...who can blame you.
- You find yourself listening to K-pop.
- You become addicted to K-pop.
- You start infecting your friends.
- Your IPod is now 50% all K-pop. Containing music from various artists from all sorts of Asian Dramas.
- You don't focus on school work. Why? Because a new episode came out, and you begin to procrastinate. Pssh...Homework can wait...no it can't...believe me I've tried. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!(Easier said than done...)
- You have reached a point where you have felt like, you have watched every drama known to man, so what do you do? Search for new ones of course!
- Then you find yourself becoming impatient for the next episode so you watch another drama while you wait. Who say's you can't multitask? ;D
- You've watched so many drama's you already know the names of the major sites in Korea.
- You want to own the DVDs of your favorite drama's.
- When you have reached a slump...you only do this if you're desperate, bored, and just can't find a drama that sparks your interest...you go to plan B. Re-watch a drama.
- If you find yourself meeting ALL of these symptoms...well guess what, you're addicted to Drama's. I hope all of you have a wonderful night or day depending on where you are at. Hope you like the photo.

What is Love?
In every Korean drama I've watched I learn something new. In my first Korean drama, Full House. I learned that love is childish, sweet, innocent, and you can never really pin-point when you fell in love with someone. It just happens unknowingly. You also learn that letting go of your first love is difficult, and that one-sided love can be torturous, but if you learn to look around you, there will be someone new to love. A love that will complete you. In the drama it seemed difficult, but in the end they lived together in house full of love. Hense the name "Full House." I'm sorry I always mention this drama, I know it's old, but it's great. Please give it a chance. Anyway...
I think love can be sacrificial, it takes courage to love someone, and to forgive a person. It's scary to confess to someone because you don't know what you'll be expecting. Maybe you do know, but you take the courage to confess anyway. Just look at Yuan Xiang Qin from It Started With a Kiss...she's brave in my opinion for confessing her feelings.
Love is also staying by the side of the one you love. Even if it means your heart will be in pain if your feelings aren't returned. But that's all you'll need, because you're by their side no matter what. You accept that person as they are. Then again what do I know about love. I'm no expert and no one knows what love is. You can describe it, but really it's a mystery. How about we read what our favorite characters say about love. I've learned so much from them...
I hope love makes you happy because love comes in all forms. Have a wonderful night/day wherever you may be and have hope.

What Korean Dramas have taught me...
If there is one thing I've learned from Korean dramas it's:
I love Korean dramas. My first korean drama was Full House. I actually did learn something valuable from it. Love can come to you unexpectedly, and unconditionally. Cherish those that are by your side because love is precious, and it's rare. True love is rare and when you find it, fight for it. This is my all time favorite drama. I know everyone has their favorite out there.
So what's you favorite drama? Did you learn something valuable?
Hope to see your comments and likes. Please Follow and subscribe to my blog! Have fun my Kdrama fanatics!
- There is always a jerk in a drama which so happens to be the main lead and along the way...they fall in love. Therefore ladies let's try not to like the bad boys in real life, because when we watch the dramas who do we end up loving more? The side character...
like him <3
- There is always a mean mother/step mother or some sort of mean relative
- The main heroine is usually poor
- There is always a love triangle. EVERYONE LOVES A LOVE TRIANGLE. We can't get enough of those. I'm not complaining though. I love watching their love stories unfold. ^_^
- Broken families
- Family Secerts
- The female will disguise herself as a boy
- Rags to riches theme
- Marriage/ Love contracts

Hello my fellow bloggers! I hope everyone had a great New year! \(^0^)/
On to 2014, let's all hope it's filled with joy and happiness.
I haven't updated my blog for awhile so I apologize, although I don't really know who actually looks at this blog. I have no followers so maybe I'm talking to no one, but if someone ends up following this blog I appreciate it.

About Me & My Blog
Hello world! I created this blog for fun. I'm just your average college student who loves Korean dramas, but also other types of dramas. I became interested in blogs because my Professor made us create one as an assignment and I had a lot of fun with it. So I'm a blogger now! I want everyone to enjoy and use this blog as a reference for any type of Asian dramas. So if you have suggestions please comment. I just thought if someone doesn't know what drama to watch they could always come here and see the lists I've created. I may be a little slow on updating them, but I will update my blog when I have the time. Also if you don't like my suggestions which is okay (^_^) you can always Google or go to YouTube. That's how I started out. My first Korean drama was My Girl followed by Full House. Those are my all time favorite dramas. Of course that's just my opinion. What was your favorite drama?
Full House
My Girl
